My Washer that I bought in April of 2007 (Out of warranty), will not drain.
Silly me (okay I am using another s word at the thought of a repair man). I opened it mid cycle (was going to add am item). And I guess that comfused it so now it is giving me a F01 Error code, and according to the wonderfully internet I am reading that means my CCU is fried. Hope replacing the CCU is not expensive. Not sure what a CCU is but I think it is like the motherboard in a computer except in a washer.
I priced a new washer so I know when a repair is no longer worth it, $1000 and sadly I paid $1400 for BOTH my washer and drier in 2007. What is up with that I thought the economy was supposedly bringing costs down. Will call tomorrow and hopefully get something scheduled for Monday.
I am really sad about having to pay for a washer repair while trying to pay off my special assessments before the 28th of the month.
S word here, I was going to say I hope they take credit cards so I could hold off paying until the 1st but off course I dont have a cc at this time because CC1 did not send me my new card, and I could not find CC2 when I went looking for it when I was trying to fix my laptop.
F F F (ARRRRRRGGG)
Sorry for the foul language but I am really upset.
Gonna Have to call the repair man, ARRRRG

But, have you tried unplugging it for a while and then plugging it back in?
Do you have a 'booklet' that came with the new washer? Maybe it will tell you how to reset it - sure hope it isn't fried.

I tried finding a booklet online since I cant find mine. We have packed up and unpacked and repacked the basement like 6 times over the last year and a half that we have been working on finishing the basement.
To keep from calling the repair man I went to the laundramat today. Spent $6.25 on 3 double loads and 1 triple load. Man I forgot how expensive the laundry is, and that was without drying. I brought it home to dry. I have two dryers so no point in paying to dry. The matching high capacity drier and a apartment sized one.
I figure next weekend I could get by with having to do a load of jeans for DS and a combo load of long sleeve tshirts and under things, so 2.50. I am glad that I made sure at back to school time I bought him enough jeans to last a week.
anonymouse - I am probubly going over board because I want the same washer as I have. I have a matching set with pedastalls and so I hate to now after splurging on the pedastalls switch to something totally different. Oh well I will get it fixed sometime after the 1st of November as I think I can hold out until then doing only the must do laundry.

I'd rethink buying the exact same one that you have now - doesn't sound like a reliable washer. I just replaced my washer, the one I had prior to that was about ten years old. Same thing - quit mid cycle - the day before vacation and I had to go to the laundromat with three loads.
