Blog Stats, Blog identity,??

Well I checked my blog stats today well to be truthful for the fourth time today.

It is pretty amazing!! I am having more and more 'Unique Visitors' everyday. This was my stats as of the last time I checked.

I am really surprised!! Are other blog'ers surprized that people actually checkout their blog? I do not tell people I know about my site, I don't want them coming back and saying "how could you write about me? I know I am Mrs. X from the blog entry on the 24th." Does that make me a closet blog'er? Is there another word for people who do not share their online blog identity with their family and friends.

Now I guess I know what it is like to be on the other side. Wondering if what I am writing is something someone else can relate to or atleast finds entertaining.

    I check my stats pretty often too. I'm also a closet blogger. My husband knows and reads occasionally. My sister knows is aware, but doesn't have the info. My stats keep going up. Fun, fun!

    My family knows but they don't bother to read it.
    They,like me, would much rather be checking out ways to stash it.

    I check my stats everyday. I don't hide my blog but I don't promote my blog either. I'm guessing that many people who read my blog also write in their blogs here.

    I don't check my stats -- I blog really for my own pleasure -- but I remain anonymous so that I can write freely about people in my life. I don't want to hurt any feelings, so I don't want my family reading it.

    I didn't even know I had stats! But after reading this I checked them out! I think about half the hits are me checking to see if anyone has responded to my posts.

    I'm a "closet blogger" LOL. Daisy has seen the title of my blog and started laughing and singing the song. But if she read even a paragraph she would know it was me!

    I try to read everyone's blog here (when I have the time - not always the case!), and I usually find something I can relate to with each person. And I was surprised and honored to find myself in your favorites. *blush*

    I think it's fun to see how people find my blog. The Google search strings they use are different than I'd expect sometimes.
